I am currently working on my first article for SEEstories.com when I come across this video on Facebook. Needless to say it reinforces my passion for social media and its undeniable importance.
Another thought came to mind though... We are currently in the middle of a war on our own soil. We can't log on to the internet, turn on the radio or the television without hearing about Presidential candidates and other politicians bad-mouthing one another. I saw this video and I wondered why it took a cause such as this one for me to find out that our government is willing to help other countries with no oil or other agenda we as Americans readily complain about. I also wondered about the concept of classical conditioning and if we used this as an example of what our government is capable of IF WE SUPPORT THEM, then what else would they be willing to listen to? Would they stop seeing their people as mindless drones that need to be controlled but people with a united voice... people who appreciate how we as human beings are connected and that we are above pettiness such as race, gender, sexual orientation... What if, we all fought FOR one another instead of against one another? What if those who believe in God allow God to do the judgment of all people while we as humans allow one another free will? I mean, God allows free will, He wants to see what we are capable of when we support one another, so why can't we follow his example? Is He not a god of love? Even if you don't believe in God, science makes the fact that we are all connected to one another and this earth undeniable. The source of our very lives is the same regardless of your belief system.
